Ce long week-end fut l'occasion de rattraper le sommeil manquant. Comme je l'avais déjà dit, j'ai de la difficulté à faire mes huit heures de sommeil mais en plus, je suis très sensible à la température et ça ma pris toute la semaine pour me rendre compte que la douillette était de trop. Mais je ne n'ai pas fait que dormir, j'ai aussi fait ces jolies choses-là. Oui ce sont des sacs de magasinages. J'ai été inspiré par ces sacs en Tyvek dont NotMartha avait mis le lien sur son blogue. Leur prix était exorbitant compte tenu de leur fonction et donc je m'en suis fait, un en tissu duck (à gauche) l'autre en entoilage non tissé (à droite). Je planche en ce moment sur les instructions sur comment les faire, ils sont faciles à faire mais compliqués à expliqué et je me rend compte maintenant qu'il faudrait que j'en fasse d'autre car je n'ai pas pas pris assez de photos...

J'ai aussi loué Les Agents troubles hier. J'avais vu la version original de Hong Kong, Infernal Affairs, et j'avais évité de voir ce film entre autre à cause de mon antipathie pour Leonardo DiCaprio. Son jeu m'énerve encore mais pas autant que d'habitude, on dirait un hommage à Christian Slater. Par contre comme amant potentiel, je ne dirai pas non. Le film? Oui il est fidèle à l'original si ce n'est le rajout de personnages féminins, j'imagine pour diversifier le public cible. De plus, il est clair qu'on a laissé Jack Nicholson faire à peut près ce qu'il veut ce qui ne donne pas toujours de bon résultat selon moi. Je ne vous dirai pas comment le film se termine mais disons que là aussi on a respecté l'original mais on y a rajouté un happy end à comparé si on peut appeler ça comme ainsi et je trouve que la dernière image manque de subtilité. Je préfère l'ambiguité de l'original.

J'ai terminé ma première longue chaussette la semaine dernière. J'ai d'abord fait un rabat ordinaire mais en l'essayant je me suis rendue compte que c'était trop serré mais en fait c'est parce que je n'avais pas utilisé la bonne méthode. J'ai donc appris à faire des rabat cousu, très facile à faire. J'ai commencé le second hier soir, pas le meilleur projet à faire devant un film vu que commençait par l'orteil.

PS: J'ai toujours la chatte la plus laide au monde. Dans mon ancien appartement, qui devenait une fournaise l'été, il était nécessaire de faire raser mes chats pour leur bien mais je dois avouer que maintenant c'est pour m'éviter de trop passer l'aspirateur à cause de leur perte excessive de poils.

This long week-end has been spent mostly sleeping on my part. As I've said before, I have trouble sleeping my full eight hours but on top of that, I'm very sensitive to temperatures when I'm sleeping. Took me all week to figure out that it was time to ditch the duvet. But I've been doing other stuff as well, like these shopping bags for example. I was inspired by these bags that NotMartha linked too on her blog. I have to say that their price is down right ridiculous compared to their fonction so I figured I'd make some, the one on the left in in duck fabric, the one on the right is made out of unwoven interfacing. I'm currently working on the tutorial, they're easy to make but a bitch to explain and now I realize I haven't taken enough pics so I'll have to make another one in each fabric, no big deal because they're quick to make.

I rented The Departed yesterday. I had seen the Hong Kong original, Infernal Affairs, and I had avoided this movie mostly because of Leo DiCaprio's acting. It still got on my nerves but not as much as it normally does, you'd think he's channeling Christian Slater. On the other hand, I'm adding him on my to do list... The movie? Pretty close to the original save for the the female characters added probably to attract a female audience. Clearly they let Jack Nicholson do whatever he wanted, not always a good thing in my opinion. I wont say how it ends but I'll say that they added a sort of happy end if you can call it that but otherwise it's faithful to the original. Those last images though before the end credits are so not subtle.

I finished my first knee high sock last week. I first made a regular bind off but when I tried it on I realized that it was way too tight. Going back to the instructions I realized that I had used the wrong method so I learned how to do a sewn bind off. Real easy to do. I started the second one yesterday, not the best project to do while watching a movie considering I had to start from the toe.

PS: I still have the world's ugliest cat. To those who ask why I did it, I have to say, shedding. My old appartment used to turn into a stove in the summer so it was a necessity for their comfort to get them trimmed but now I have to say, it's to keep my vacuuming to a minimum...
