Avec le beau temps qui revient, le scooter a repris du service. Il est plus pratique d'avoir un sac à dos pour faire de la route bien que l'espace sous mon banc est assez grand pour y mettre mon plus grand fourre-tout. En fait j'ai déjà un sac à dos similaire, mais vu qu'il est aux couleurs des Jeux d'hiver de Turin, je me suis dit qu'il était temps que je le remplace...

J'ai trouvé ce tissu dans le panier à retailles de mon magasin à tissu, il est en fait assez similaire à ce que j'avais en tête pour faire ce sac. L'endroit et l'envers sont en fait deux tissus distinct qui sont reliés par le motif à fleur. Les fils qui forment .es fleurs vont d'un motif à l'autre entre les deux tissus ce qui donne un troisième épaisseur.

Positif:

• Facile et rapide à faire

Négatif:

• Je n'aime pas vraiment la fait que la bretelle soit plus petite que le haut du sac. J'avais pensé l'élargir mais au bout de compte j'ai suivi le patron

L'horreur:

• Le tissu double est très friable et donc il y certains endroits le long de la couture qui se défont. En fait je ne crois pas que j'utiliserai ce sac pour transporter des items trop lourds.

With the weather improving, my scooter has been taken out of storage and is back on the road. It's more practical to ride with a backpack so I decided to make a one even though the storage space under the seat is big enough to store the largest of my tote bags. In fact I already have a similar backpack but it's recalls the Torino Winter Games and I figured it was about time I had a new one.

I found this double chintz in the end-of-roll bin at my fabric store. The front and back of this chintz are distinct fabrics that are bound together by the flower motif. The threads of the flowers go from motif to the other, between the outer layers of the double fabric, giving it a third layer.

Positives:

• Easy and fast to do

Negative:

• I don't like the way the strap is not as wide as the top of the bag. I thought of making it wider at that point but in the end, I just followed the pattern.

The horreur:

• The double chintz come apar very easily and there are certain aereas along the seams that I had to sew back up. Because of this I don't think that I will be using this bag to carry heavy stuff.
