Of procrastination/De la tergiversation

I was at the fabric store for another procrastination on the pants, this time a Kimono top I saw on Stacysews blog. I was going to buy the pattern when I realized it was empire waisted, meaning mods galore at the bustline and also, the other tops were of no interest to me so I'm draping the pattern right now (when I get around to making a template for my tops, I will make sure to also to do one for an empire waisted top). After walking around the store for almost an hour and my following appointment looming, I picked up this plum poly-cotton fabric. I will add a contrasting band around the collar (the left over satin for my spring coat). Should be pretty but after the poom-poom skirt misjudgement, I'll wait 'til I finish it to render a verdict. But while I was having the fabric cut I spied this woman who was holding a roll of this super kicky fabric. I asked where she got it and it was at the bargain wall!!! For 2,50$ a meter! So after my pedi (a B'day present) I rushed back and searched frantically and I couldn't find it. I asked one of the clerks and she says there was a coupon left. I was crestfallen, she looked and looked and couldn't find it until I spied the rolled buried a bit in the big pile of fabric. I bought all that was left, about 2.50 meter and since I have a membership card, it came to 1,69$ a meter. I will use it to redo the roman blind in my sewing room, the striped fabric will the backing. The one that's there isn't bothering me in the least but this will be much prettier, that I'm sure of. I'll probably make cushions with the leftover.
