End of the fiscal year/Fin de l'année fiscale

So after K's word of warning about the trellis scarf, I took a closer look at and it does say to K7tog and I have to say that with a cotton yarn I figured it wouldn't be a good idea. I decided to swatch instead for a cardi with my Cascade 220 yarn. This has to be the most elaborate swatch I've done (besides the one I did for my knitting for hire job) and I have to say I love it so far. I got this cable stitch from my book Cables untangled , it wasn't part of the sts offered but it was featured in a couple of afghans as an allover pattern. I have decided that the time has come for me to start and actually FINISH a cardigan. I don't know why but somewhere along the journey I always lose patience or just get bored and move on to something else and never finish them. But this st combo is easy, the button band in the seed st is knitted along with the rest of the front pieces and I have a two-stich twist along the side seam where I will shape the cardi for a fitted look. And it will not have a rib finish at the hems so yes it will curl up. I just need to make up my mind as to wether or not I will do a raglan or regular inset sleeve and the kind or neckline I want but a shawl collar is winning so far. As for the straight cable needle, I picked it up for about two bucks at my fabric store.

As for the stitch marker swap, the Swap master has finally sent us our partners so I'm off to the Dressmaker and possibly the Craft store to get the material.

Après le commentaire de K a propos du foulard Trellis, j'ai été voir le modèle de près et effectivement il y est mentionné qu'il faut tricoter 7 mailles ensemble à un moment donné et je doit avouer que ça ne m'enchante guère de faire ça avec le fil de coton. Donc à la place j'ai fait cet échantillon avec la laine Cascade 220 pour un cardigan. Ceci doit être l'échantillon le plus élaboré que j'ai fait (mis à par celui pour mon boulot de tricot que j'ai fait il n'y a pas si longtemps) et je l'adore. J'ai trouvé ce point de torsade dans mon livre Cables untangled mais il ne faisait pas parti des points proposés, il faisait parti d'un modèle pour un afghan mais comme un point qui en recouvre toute la surface. J'ai décidé qu'il était tant que je commence et TERMINE un cardigan. Pour une raison inexpliquée, je n'en ai jamais été capable, je finis toujours par en perdre l'intérêt. Mais cette combinaison de point est facile, la patte de boutonnage sera en point de riz, le cardigan sera moulé à la taille le long de la couture de côté et il y aura une petite torsade de deux mailles le long de la couture aussi. Il ne me rest qu'à décidé si je veux faire la manche raglan ou regulier et aussi le genre de col et jusqu'à présent, je crois que ce sera un col châle. Oh et il n'y aura pas de côtes aux ourlets. Quant à l'aiguille de torsade, je l'ai trouvé pour deux dollars chez mon magasin de couture.

Quant à l'échange d'anneaux marqueurs, la maîtresse de l'échange nous a finalement fait parvenir nos partenaires de l'échange et donc je m'en vais de ce pas chercher le matériel nécessaire.
