Of yarn and cold/De fil et de grippe

My camera is still fritzing so I won't be able to show the picture of the dress I'm working on or the hat that I'm knitting with the skein I have leftover for the Kubla Kahn project. Sigh. It's been a little over a year since I've joined MontrealKnits and my oh my how my knitting ways have changed somewhat since: I can't stand acrylic yarn anymore, at least in my stuff, I now know 4 cast-on methods, I've self published a knitting pattern, I used to be a one project at a time type of person now I have several UFOs calling to me. My stash was so far pretty pathethic and I'm sure that compared to some of you it would still be such but last night we got a visit from a new yarn pusher and I've put 7 skeins on hold and I'm sure when I'll pick them up, I'll leave with twice that.
PS: I think that we should borrow one idea from the Asian community and wear face masks when one has a cold. There was a chick coughing my way this afternoon in the metro and by the looks of her I knew I was going to come down with something and now I already feel a sore throat coming on...
