More khaki yarn/Encore du fil Khaki

Mis à part mon chandail boléro que j'avais terminé en mai dernier, je n'avais presque pas tricoté durant la saison estivale. J'avais peur que ce la signifiait que ce n'avait été qu'un béguin temporaire et que je n'allais pas reprendre mes aiguilles mais il semble que ce n'était en fait qu'une pause. Ayant mis un peu d'ordre dans finances, je pensais rester sage et ne pas trop dépenser mais en l'espace d'une semaine, j'ai commandé du fil a tricot chez Knitpicks.com et j'en ai acheté en vente chez la marchande de laine. Je n'ai pas encore reçu ma commande mais je suis certaine qu'il sera identique que ce que j'ai acheté ici. Je ne sais pas encore si je serai sage et la retournerai.

En ce moment donc, je travaille sur un chandail à manche longue. J'utilise une côte composée de torsade et de points à l'envers. Il sera très simple mais je n'arrive pas encore à décider si je veux faire le col rond, en V ou un col roulé. La pièce sur la photo en fait n'existe plus. Malgré le fait que j'ai fait deux échantillons pour m'assurer de respecter la tension mentionnée sur l'étiquette, je me suis rendue compte qu'il était trop large et donc j'ai décidé de recommencer. Ça m'a permis de m'amuser avec la pelotoneuse manuelle de Robyn et je crois bien qu'il est grand temps que je m'en achète un et peut être aussi un rouet.

My streaker shrug was the last thing I knitted and I didn't even think of picking up my needles during the summer. I was afraid that my knitting since September last year was a fluke and that I was never going to pick up my needles again but it seems now that was just a temporary hiatus. After sorting out my finances, I thought I'd be a good girl and not spend too much but no, within one week I have purchased yarn from Knitpicks.com and my LYS. I haven't received my online order yet but I bet the yarn will be identical to what I bought here. I don't know yet if I'm going to be a good girl and return my order.

One good thing about knitting is if you have an idea, enough yarn and the tools, you can get started on garment right away (as opposed to, say, sewing, that has sooo much prep) and I've already started working on a long sleeve pullover. The rib is a mock wavy cable rib ( actually it's just wavy, I couldn't figure out the mock part). The sweater will be simple but I can't decide if I want a crew neck, a V shaped collar or turtleneck. The piece in this picture actually doesn't exist anymore. I had actually taken the time to do two swatches to make sure I knit in the same gauge as the label and yet still the back was too big and after checking the gauge on the piece itself, I decided to rip it and start over with smaller needles. At least I got to have fun with Robyn's ball winder and I think it's high time I got one of my own. And maybe I'll bet myself a swift too.
